Golden Globe Awards: Top Three Makeup Looks
As with other award shows, The Golden Globes are not only a big deal when it comes to movies and television, they are a big deal when it comes to fashion. For Beauty by the B, we certainly keep our eyes peeled on the makeup that the stars wear each year.
We decided that there were three looks worth chatting about, so here are our Top Three Makeup Looks from the 2013 Golden Globe Wards!
Julianne Hough
We really like how Julianne Hough rocks the dark eye, defined eyebrows, and light lip. This is a classy and sexy look, perfect for the Golden Globe Awards.
Brows: Anastasia Brow Wiz is the perfect, ultra-fine pencil for filling in and defining your eyebrow shape.
Eyes: A dark smokey eye is amazing for any party or special event, and in this instance, Julianne Hough rocks it a little bit darker around the lash line, helping to define her eyes and really make them pop. Use the eyeshadow trio Screenshot from Smashbox to achieve this makeup style, use a fluffy brush to blend your medium toned eye look.
Lips: Fresh Brew from MAC would be the perfect cream-coffee tone to achieve this light lip look. Top it off with a MAC clear glass to give it an extra sultry sheen.
Adele
We absolutely love Adele, as she always rocks a strong and bold makeup look and always manages to look stunning and flawless. She is a lady who is not afraid to play up her eyes and pulls out full and above average length lashes, and we can certinaly get behind this fantastic choice.
Eyes: Her crease is defined and beautifully blended, as always, and she adorns the extra long lashes with a winged out black liquid liner. To achieve an Adele-esque crease, use Urban Decay’s Baked, and to help you get this look absolutely right, use Real Techinque’s shading brush, which will help you create a flawless and defined eye.
Beauty by the B’s favourite liquid liner is Stila’s Stay All Day, so of course we recommend you use this bad boy, and MAC has the best fake lash selection where you can choose the length and density to your preference and comfort level. We love MAC’s #36 lashes.
Jessica Alba
Most of the looks this year were a darker eye with a light lip, so we can certainly get behind Jessica Alba’s bright orange lip choice. Standing out and having a punchy look is definitely Beauty by the B’s style, and we rock bright bold lips almost daily, so we are extra stoked on Alba. She tops her look with amazing lashes, and overall we give her a nice solid score for a job well done!
Lips: MAC Lady Danger or Morange are great choices to achieve this bold and punchy lip, or try Chanel’s #43 La Favorite for a softer orange option.
