Makeup Trends Spring/Summer 2013

Line up your eyes: Giorgio Armani, Lanvin, Thierry Mugler

Whether it was a defined line using a liquid liner, or a smudged look around the whole eye area, we are loving the variations of liner that was played with on the runways for the spring and summer season, especially at Mugler, Armani and Lanvin. Holla!

Beauty by the B Recommends:

Bobbi Brown: Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, perfect for a defined and detailed liner.

Benefit Bad Gal Liner: Waterproof and amazing for a smudged look.

Stila #28: Smudge and Line Brush.

For a smudged look apply the Bad Gal liner on the lash line and underneath the eye in the waterline, and then follow with the Stila smudge brush to get rid of any hard lines. And you’re done!

Bat your Lashes: Jean Paul Gaultier, Moschino, Gucci

Statement lashes were big this season, so don’t be afraid to be bold and dramatic. Experiment with thick, sparse, and bottom lashes.

Urban Decay Eyelashes

Apply an even layer of glue on the lash band and make sure it gets nice and tacky before applying to the lash line as this will prevent the lashes from moving, while also making it easier for the lashes to stick and not slide around on your eye.

Pops Of Colour: Moschino, Michael Kors, Kenzo

Colour was seen in different placements, whether it was rimmed around the whole eye, or a line through the crease. Spring and summer is a great time to experiment with a little colour for some punch and a whole lot of fun!

Makeup Forever Matte Eye Shadow

Use a crease brush to apply pops of colour in the crease. The MAC 217 brush works wonderfully for this as it will blend and add colour at the same time. Start with the outer corner and work your way into the inner corner of the eye.
